CNET.com offers information about a wide range
of technology - related products; the site also provides an entrée
into e-commerce sites offering these products and services.
Client Challenge:
As CNET needed to be sure that its newly targeted
business audience would be able to find and use new functions and
content developed for the CNET Business Center, easily and efficiently.
The Westport Company Response:
We used our proprietary Experience Probe interview process to
determine if business professionals could access and use the CNET
Business Center site comfortably and without mistakes. We asked
respondents to try two navigational paths and explored their reactions
to the navigation of each path and to the value of this specific
content.
As a result of our research, CNET was able to
determine the optimum site layout from their users' perspective.
