Client: Post Cereal
Post Kids Cereal group developed a new web site
that offers games and activities for boys and girls.
Client Challenge:
Post Cereal wanted to be sure that Postopia.com
would offer the types of games and activities that kids find fun
and entertaining. Post Cereal wanted the site to promote its brands
appropriately and to engage users enough so that they would return
often.
The Westport Company Response:
Our challenge was to conduct diagnostic usability tests with 8-12
year olds to get them to articulate
freely and openly what they liked about the new site, what
they
didn't, and why. We adapted our Experience Probe process for this
target group, observing how they used the site and establishing
a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere to discuss their reactions.
As a result of our tests, Post Cereal was able to make specific
modifications to the site to generate higher enthusiasm and encourage
repeat visits.
